石川県に1895年に設立した小倉織物は、現在、日本で唯一の伝統的な絹ジャガード織り企業です。
第二次世界大戦前は、「紋羽二重」と「小松綸子」の製造に特化していおり、
戦後、同社の2代目社長と従業員は工場を再開させ、幅広い紋羽ジャガードの外国向け輸出に焦点を移しました。
1951年には、米国絹業協会の会長であるウォルター・ストラスバーガー氏の訪問など、
日本の皇室を数多くお迎えする栄誉に浴しています。
1953年には、当時の皇太子であり現在の平成天皇が、イギリスのエリザベス女王の戴冠祝賀のために小倉織物のジャガードシルクを贈りました。
1970~1980年、高級ブランドに生地提供を始め、高級イベントやコレクションのための生地を提供しています。
社内製の生地は、2020年東京オリンピックの公式スカーフや、パリコレクションのドレス、
ヨウジヤマモトのアニメシリーズ「鬼滅の刃」とのコラボレーションの着物に使用されました。
日本では希少な1960年代の織機を使用し、職人の技術と手作業に頼りながら、デザインを生地に織り込むことで、絹ジャガードの伝統を守っています。
2023年7月には、設立以来初めてのファクトリーブランドを立ち上げました。

Founded in 1895 in Ishikawa prefecture,
today Ogura Fabrics is the last remaining company in Japan that specializes in traditional silk jacquard weaving.

Before World War II, the company specialized in"mōn habutae"
(double-feathered pattern) and "Komatsu rinzu" (Komatsu crepe) silks.

After the War, the company’s second President and his employees evacuated the silk machines over 25 kilometers by foot to restart the factory.

Postwar, focus shifted to producing wide silk jacquard for　foreign export.
In 1951, Mr. Walter Strasburgerchairman of the　American Silk Industry Association, visited the company.
Ogura Fabrics　has also had the honor of hosting the Japanese Imperial Family on　numerous occasions.
In 1953, then-Prince Akihito, who became the　Heisei emperor of Japan,
sent an Ogura-made Jacquard Silk as a　coronation gift for Great Britain’s Queen Elizabeth.

1970~1980
Ogura Fabrics embarked on collaborations with luxury brands and　provided fabric for high profile events and collections.

Fabrics made　in house were used for the official scarf of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic　Games,
dresses for the Paris Collection, and the Kimono of　Yohji Yamamoto’s collaboration with the hit anime series Demon Slayer.
　 Using weaving machines from the 1960s, which are scarce in Japan,
　 and　relying on the expertise of artisans and manual labor,
　 designs are　woven into fabric, preserving the tradition of silk jacquard. In July　2023, Ogura Fabrics launched its first-ever factory brand since its　establishment.
